Limitation Act, 1963 prescribes time limits for filing suits, appeals, and applications to ensure legal certainty and prevent stale claims. Note:
Section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963 acts as a protective provision enabling courts to condone delay in filing cases, appeals & other proceedings where sufficient cause is shown; however, such relief is discretionary and cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
