About UPPSC Exam 2019

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh. The agency's charter is granted by the Constitution of India. 

Articles 315-323 of Part XIV of the constitution, titled Services Under the Union and the States, provide for a Public Service Commission for the Union and for each state.

UPPSC Pre 2019 Selection Process:

• Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
• Main Examination (Written examination)
• Viva- Voce (Personality Test)

UPPSC Pre 2019 Exam Patten-

Pre Exam Pattern

Paper-I

• The Written test will be multiple choice objective type.
• The Preliminary examination will consist of two compulsory papers.
• The papers shall be of 200 marks each and of two hours duration.
• Both the papers shall be objective Type & multiple choice in which there shall be 150-100 questions Respectively.

Paper-II

Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

Mains Exam Pattern

This is General Hindi, Essay and General Studies (First, Second, Third and Fourth papers)

Papers Shall be Conventional type and for solving the questions three hours time is allowed.

For optional Question papers 03:00 hours time is allowed.

200 maximum marks has been allotted for each optional question paper.

• General Hindi    150    03:00 hours

• Essay    150    03:00 hours

• General Studies-I    200    02:00 hours

• General Studies-II    200    02:00 hours

• General Studies-III    200    02:00 hours

• General Studies-IV    200    02:00 hours

Note: One candidate will not be allowed to offer more than one subject from the Below Subjects. There Will be Only 01 Optional Subject –
