कंप्यूटर आधारित टेस्ट (सीबीटी) [Computer-Based Test (CBT)]

The CBT is an online, objective-type exam consisting of 80 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) worth 160 marks. Each correct answer earns 2 marks, while 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer. The exam is conducted in English and Hindi, and candidates are shortlisted based on their performance for the next stage. The CBT was held from February 4 to 25, 2025, for the 2025 recruitment cycle.

शारीरिक दक्षता परीक्षण (पीईटी) [Physical Efficiency Test (PET)    ]

The PET assesses candidates’ physical fitness through tasks such as running, long jump, and high jump. The requirements vary by gender and region:

- Male Candidates: 5 km run in 24 minutes (plain areas); 1.6 km run in 7 minutes (Ladakh region).
- Female Candidates: 1.6 km run in 8.5 minutes (plain areas); 800 meters in 5 minutes (Ladakh region).

The PET is conducted by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and is qualifying in nature.

शारीरिक मानक परीक्षण (पीएसटी) [Physical Standard Test (PST)]

The PST measures candidates’ physical attributes, including height, chest (for males), and weight, against prescribed standards:
Height

  •   - Male: 170 cm (general); relaxations for SC/ST and hill area candidates.
  •   - Female: 157 cm (general); relaxations for SC/ST and hill area candidates.
  • - Chest (Male Only): 80 cm unexpanded, 85 cm expanded (general); relaxations for certain categories.
  • - Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Female candidates are not subject to chest measurements but must have a well-developed chest proportionate to their height.

चिकित्सा परीक्षण और दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन [Medical Examination and Document Verification]

The Detailed Medical Examination (DME) evaluates candidates’ physical and medical fitness, including vision, hearing, and overall health, following the Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination in CAPFs. Candidates who pass the DME undergo document verification to confirm eligibility, including educational certificates, domicile, and category certificates. Only those who clear all stages are considered for final selection.

एसएससी जीडी 2025 के लिए योग्यता मानदंड [Merit Criteria for SSC GD 2025]

The final merit list for SSC GD Constable is prepared based on candidates’ performance in the CBT, subject to their successful completion of the PET, PST, and DME. Key aspects of the merit criteria include:

  • CBT Score: The primary determinant of merit is the normalized score in the CBT. Normalization is applied to account for variations in difficulty across different shifts of the exam.
  • Cut-Off Marks: The SSC releases category-wise cut-off marks alongside the result. Candidates must score above the cut-off to be shortlisted for the PET/PST. Cut-offs vary annually based on factors like the number of vacancies, candidates’ performance, and exam difficulty.
  • Vacancy-Based Selection: For 2025, the SSC announced 53,690 vacancies (revised), distributed across various forces. The merit list is prepared state/UT-wise, and candidates are allocated to CAPFs based on their rank, preference, and availability of seats.

Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of a tie in CBT scores, the following criteria are applied in order:

  •   1. Higher marks in the General Intelligence and Reasoning section.
  •   2. Higher marks in the Elementary Mathematics section.
  •   3. Olderrate of birth.
  •   4. Older candidate.

Result Declaration: The SSC GD Result 2025 is expected to be released soon after the CBT, in PDF format on the official website (ssc.gov.in), listing the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates. Scorecards and cut-off marks are released a week later.
